Media

A form of communication (TV, film, newspaper, radio) that is used to inform people

Métis

A distinct cultural group, who claim both Aboriginal and European ancestors. Métis is a French word meaning 'mixed blood'.

Moccasin

A soft leather slipper worn by the Aboriginal People of the plains that was made from many different animal hides. Some Aboriginal groups adorned their moccasins with beads and quills.

Mother Tongue

Native language or a language from which another language originates.

Mukluks

Footwear made from animal hides, which are worn above the ankle. Often decorated with beads or quills.
