Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development (DIAND)

Developed in 1966 the Department fulfils the lawful obligations of the federal government to Aboriginal Peoples arising from treaties, the Indian Act and other legislation. The department provides the delivery of such services as education, housing, and social services.
