Salishan

Salishan dialects are spoken in southern British Columbia. Some dialects are near extinction and include Okanagan, Comox, Lillooet and Squamish to name just a few. There are 12 dialects in total.

Semi-Vowel

Neither a true vowel or consonant. It is a sound similar to that of a vowel, but is shorter in duration and articulated as one continuous, frictionless tone. It shares the same attributes as consonants.
