The Aboriginal Origin and Settlement Edukit explores various Aboriginal origin theories, as well as traditional and post-contact education systems and discussion of Aboriginal languages and linguistic roots.

You will discover that prior to European contact, Aboriginal people were sovereign nations that had their own trade alliances and shared technology and communication through complex networks. Included are biographies of many of Alberta’s most famous missionaries, as well as interactive maps that reveal where the first missions were in Alberta. A study of Aboriginal land claims will help you understand the current realities facing many Aboriginal people in Alberta and across Canada.
